    Seafood Excellence at Truluck's

If you're looking for a good place for a date night, girls night or heck, even if you're just alone and hungry, Truluck's is definitely the place you need to check out.

We were greeted by Mike McClure, Managing Partner, who took such great care of us for the duration of our visit.

We started off with the Hot 'n' Crunch Shrimp. This dish was so delicious. The shrimp was crunchy and full of flavor, and it had the perfect amount of seasoning to give it a little kick without killing our taste buds.

Next, we had the Boneless Braised Short Rib with bordelaise and arugula. Holy cow was this dish out of this world. The Short Rib literally melted in our mouths and paired so well with the bordelaise sauce.

Onto the good stuff, we got down and dirty with some Fresh Florida Stone Crab Claws. These were so amazing and had such a great presentation. On Monday's, during Stone Crab season, it is all you can eat Stone Crab Claws. If you think you can eat a gazillion crab claws, then you definitely need to head in for this special while it lasts!

The Jumbo Lump Crab Cake greeted us next, and I have to say, it was one of the better crab cakes I've ever had. The taste and texture were on point.

You can't ever leave a restaurant without dessert, especially when it involves cake. We had the Chocolate Malt Cake AND the Carrot Cake. Both were absolutely delicious. If I had to pick one, I'd say that the Chocolate Malt was my favorite. I may or may not have finished it on my own... and got one to go.

Our visit to Truluck's was definitely a five star visit. What we love most about Truluck's, is the fact that you can go and enjoy a nice casual dinner downstairs in the bar with live music, or can choose to have more of a fancy dining experience upstairs in the dining room. Options are key, and at Truluck's you definitely have that. We already can't wait for our next visit!
